Tree surgery

Our current client list includes Natural Resources Wales, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Pembrokeshire County Council, Tilhill Forestry and private customers across Pembrokeshire. Our tree surgery work regularly entails the removal of dead and dangerous trees, pruning and/or reducing trees on private land or the public highway. Our qualified team can climb trees with ropes and a harness, or for more dangerous trees we work with an elevated platform or a crane. We work regularly with the Tree Officers of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and Pembrokeshire County Council, to provide appropriate ways of dealing with trees with Tree Preservation Orders and trees within Conservation Areas which are acceptable to our clients and meet the legislative requirements.

Forestry

We specialise in lower impact small woodland management and can support woodland owners to utilise their timber resources to provide an income, and advise on improving their timber resource. We can either buy the timber standing in the wood, or fell and process the trees for the woodland owner.

Our forestry equipment includes tractors, winches, 6 tonne digger with a tree shear and Log Bullet forwarder. All of the machinery is highly portable and has a low footprint to minimise impact within the woodland.

Because of the portable nature and size of the machinery, small woodlands or difficult access are generally not an issue, which makes currently uneconomical woodlands viable.

All of our work is carried out to industry best practice standards and in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Orchards

We can advise you on all aspects of planning for your new orchard, from tree selection, site requirements, and fruit suitable for the West Wales climate. We advise on crop improvement, pests and disease management, pruning and tree care, and tree management for mature orchards.

Tree reports

We can offer advice about managing the trees on your development site including preparation of BS 5837 reports for trees in relation to new builds, extensions and demolition of existing buildings, suitable to support a planning application for your proposed development.
